Last week I finally fixed the loose cabinet door in my kitchen. It had been squeaking and hanging crooked for months, and every time I opened it, I told myself I’d get around to it “tomorrow.” I grabbed a screwdriver, tightened the hinges, and replaced one that was completely stripped. It took maybe ten minutes, and I honestly don’t know why I waited so long. Now the door closes smoothly, and every time I walk past it, I feel a tiny bit proud of myself for actually doing it.
