In today’s pro basketball world, it feels like the league has quietly decided that if you’re under six feet tall, you’re basically an endangered species. The game has turned into a forest of seven‑foot redwoods, and the 5‑something warriors who used to bring heart, hustle, and highlight‑reel magic are getting pushed out like they don’t belong. Call it what you want, but it sure feels like height discrimination—a whole generation of great small players being told they’re too short for the sport they mastered. These guys grew up breaking ankles, hitting clutch shots, and carrying teams on pure skill, only to reach the pros and get judged by a measuring tape instead of talent. It’s dramatic, it’s unfair, and honestly, it’s a loss for the game—because when the giants take over completely, the art, the creativity, and the underdog fire start disappearing with them.
